Toby Stephens and Richard Coyle star as best mates in The Best Man, a new two-part thriller for ITV1. But Peter and Michael share a dark secret that binds them together in an obsessive, destructive relationship.

Keeley Hawes is Kate, who unwittingly comes between the pair when she falls in love with Michael after they meet in a psychiatric rehabilitation centre.

But why is Peter so furious that Michael has found his soul mate? And why does he follow the newlyweds on honeymoon after acting as best man at their wedding?

When the mysterious events of the past start to impinge on the present, Kate finds herself confronting the secrets of Peter and Michael's past. And what she discovers is truly terrifying…

George Irving is Miller, a disgraced policeman who can't let go of the past. And Indra Ove plays Natalie, Kate's best friend and confidante.

The Best Man is a two-part drama written by Russell Lewis, directed by Alex Pillai and produced by Hugh Warren. The executive producer is Rob Pursey. It is a Touchpaper Television production for ITV1.
